Marine debris Art is a competition for participating of all ages, where Marine debris warriors are encouraged to construct a piece of art made entirely from marine debris.
Art works/sculpture need to be completed by the 1 of March 2024. Only one entry per person.
The Winner will win a FREE trip on the Rodney Fox Shark Expeditions!!!!!

TERMS & CONDITIONS:  

All artworks must demonstrate the re-use and recycling of Marine debris waste, that has been collected.  

Entry is free thanks to our generous sponsor Rodney Fox Shark Museum and Learning Centre. 

Entrants will be notified of competition results by email/ telephone.  

Entrants can be one sole person or a group or school group.  

(Only one entry per person or per group or school group) 

 

The results of the competition will be announced to social media.  

All entrants grant permission to the organisers to publish &/ or broadcast the names and photographs of the finalists and the winners through print and electronic media.  

Judges and their immediate families are not eligible to enter. Judge’s decision is final, no correspondence will be entered into.   

Artworks and copyright remain the property of the entrant.  

 A brief description of your composition, the materials and inspiration of your artwork will be included and forwarded to your coordinator with your artwork prior to display. (MAXIMUM OF 300 WORDS).  

Art works/sculpture need to be completed by the 1 of March 2024.

Award night the date will release end of this year. 

 

ALL ARTWORK MUST:  

Be safe for public exhibition. 

 To be able to fit through the door, in regards in size.  

Be exhibition ready. If the artwork is to be hung a hanging system must be included (it can be very simple). 

 All artworks must be delivered to your Rodney Fox Shark Museum and Learning Centre. Artists are responsible for packaging of their own artworks for transport to the Rodney Fox Shark Museum and Learning Centre.

 The cost and means of transport to the local exhibition are the responsibility of the entrant.  

The organisers will take all reasonable care in handling and dealing with works submitted, however the organisers will not be responsible for any loss or damage incurred to any of the artworks or materials.
